Broadway Half Day Camp: The Addams Family $500 Two Weeks: 7/14-7/25 9:00am-12:00pm Show date and time: Friday, July 25 at 11:00 AM St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 1235 Wilmette Ave. “When You’re an Addams” it’s family first and last, but now Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Their daughter Wednesday has found herself “Pulled” out of her usual dark melancholy and falling in love with the sweet and respectable Lucas Beineke. Wednesday wants just “One Normal Night” to host a dinner for Lucas and his parents, Alice and Mal, though her younger brother Pugsley, and their Grandma, Uncle Fester, and butler Lurch, (along with the ever-present spooky spirits of the Addams Ancestors) can’t resist reminding Wednesday that she may be fighting her dark destiny. But, in a shocking turn of events, the entire Addams Family may have underestimated exactly how normal the Beineke Family is to begin with. Over the course of two weeks, Broadway Half Day Camp will build confidence and develop performance skills as they are challenged and motivated to work together with their cast mates to create a polished and professional final show. Days will be packed with developing characters, rehearsing musical numbers, staging intricate scenes, becoming backstage leaders, and playing acting games. Instructions on how to assemble an original costume will be provided to families in advance of the thrilling final performance on the final date of this camp. Every actor will feel the glow of lighting up the stage and pride in their hard work coming together as they perform for friends and family. The stage is set. The spotlight awaits. Discover the magic of theater with Skyline, where imaginations soar and young actors build confidence and develop a passion for the performing arts.
