Show: High School Musical 2 Broadway Highlights Ages: 8-12 Monday-Friday: 9:00-4:00 p.m. One Week Session: 7/15-7/19 Performance: Friday Afternoon 7/19 Venue: Greenhouse Theater Center, Lincoln Park Address: 2257 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 From an exciting first day of getting to know a show to an exhilarating final performance, High School Musical 2 Broadway Summer Camp offers enchanting character opportunities where every actor can shine. All actors are assigned a named individual role in the show and together create a full musical ensemble for spectacular musical numbers such as “What Time Is It?,” “Fabulous,” and “You Are the Music in Me.” In the course of one week, Broadway Highlights will build confidence and develop performance skills as they showcase their individual talents while working as an ensemble to bring a story to life onstage. Days will be packed with rehearsing fully-staged musical numbers, memorizing lines and solos, playing drama games, crafting set elements, and visiting the famous Oz Park for outdoor lunch and recess. Instructions on how to assemble an original costume will be provided to families in advance of the thrilling final performance, with professional lights and sound, on the final date of this camp. Every actor will feel pride in their hard work coming together and the glow of lighting up the stage as they present a dress rehearsal for other Broadway campers and then perform for friends and family. The stage is set. The spotlight awaits. Discover the magic of theater with Skyline, where imaginations soar and young actors build confidence and develop a passion for the performing arts. “My son loved his week at Skyline’s Broadway Camp! I was really impressed with how much he was able to learn (songs, dialogue, choreography) in just a few days. He loved being with kids of different ages and had a blast. We are already looking forward to next summer!” “We have participated in Emerald City, Dream Big, and now Skyline and this has been our daughter’s favorite. It is amazing what these kids accomplished in a week. Most actors practice for months to put on a performance like this. She absolutely loved being a part of Broadway Camp and was so sad when it came to an end.”
