Matilda Jr. Stars (Age 7-12) 11 Week Session Mondays / 5-7PM / September 11-December 11 / NO CLASS: 9/25, 10/2, 11/20 SHOW DATE: Monday 12/11 Kenilworth Assembly Hall Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her school teacher Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace! Packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and unforgettable characters, Matilda is a magical musical theater experience. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination. Skyline's Broadway Stars is a no-cut program designed for actors age 7-12. Sing, dance, act, and embark on an unforgettable journey to bring the magic of Matilda Jr. to life onstage. Guided by a professional teaching artist, Stars level up by singing solos, developing character, and learning fundamental musical theatre choreography. From the moment auditions kick off on the first day, Stars feel the rush of anticipation as they showcase their talents. Every actor who participates is assigned a named role, and receives a script and rehearsal materials. Families will receive detailed instructions on how to assemble an original costume, adding the perfect finishing touch to Matilda Jr. The stage is set, and the spotlight awaits.
Registration Policies
All transfers and cancellations are subject to availability and the discretion of the Skyline Team. Camp Transfers: Beginning with Summer 2025 registration, all camp transfers will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. If transferring less than two weeks before the camp start date, the fee is $50. Camp Cancellations: Beginning with Summer 2025 registration, all cancellations will be subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds can be provided less than two weeks before a camp start date. Early Bird Discount: Discounts may not be combined. The maximum discount available is 10% off. All registrations through December 2024 will be processed at the 10% off Early Bird Discount rate. Younger Sibling Discount: Beginning in January 2025, the only discount available will be the 10% off “Younger Sibling Discount” for additional siblings, after paying full price for registering an older sibling.
