With friends like Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull, and Sebastian the crab there is no shortage of fun “Under the Sea, but, as she grows up, Ariel can no longer ignore her fascination with life on land. She would give anything to walk alongside humans like the heroic Prince Eric and his royal crew. Ariel is at a crossroads when she meets two slippery eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, that lead her to Ursula, the sea witch. They offer Ariel a chance for three days on land. Can Ariel pay the price to be “Part of That World,” or will she become another one of Ursula’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls?” Broadway Performers+ is a brand new version of Skyline’s most advanced level. Performers+ is designed to challenge passionate middle school actors to take their musical theater skills to the next level. Two days a week, Performers meet with their Skyline directing team to hone their individual performance skills while working together to create an outstanding musical production. From the moment auditions kick off on the first day, Performers feel the exhilaration of bringing their best self forward, and their Skyline directors will find the role that both compliments and challenges their innate abilities. In rehearsal, Performers work to master solo vocal technique, singing in harmony, developing sophisticated characters, and complex musical theatre choreography in spectacular musical numbers. Actors are provided scripts and empowered to practice with music, choreography videos, and more helpful materials, accessible on Skyline’s exclusive Actor Resource Page. Families receive instructions on how to assemble an original costume, adding the perfect touch to every show. As part of the Performers+ package, participants will perform multiple times, receive a professional headshot, and a link to production photos from their final show.
