Madagascar Broadway Juniors Grades: K-2nd Thursdays: 4:10-5:10pm Dates: 4/2-6/4 Venue: Athenaeum Center for Thought & Culture, Studio A Address: 2936 N Southport Ave Chicago, IL 60657 Performance: 6/4 Price: $350 Join your favorite characters from the Dreamworks film Madagascar as they take to the stage in this musical adventure! Madagascar begins with Alex the lion, “The King of New York City” (or at least Central Park Zoo) living a blissful life with regular meals – his best friends Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo always by his side. When Marty can’t stop dreaming of being “Wild and Free,” the friends team up with a few penguin pals who specialize in espionage and embark on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. Life with the lemurs is all fun and games, until Alex starts to miss eating “Steak!” Filled with heartwarming friendships, adventure galore, and an upbeat score, Madagascar, will leave young actors raring to “Move It, Move It!” Broadway Juniors is an encouraging introductory musical theatre experience designed for young actors that offers the opportunity to sing, dance, act, and embark on an unforgettable journey to bring the magic of Skyline musicals to life onstage. Guided by a professional teaching artist, Juniors receive a named role, participate in every scene and song, and gain confidence as they perform together in front of a live audience in spectacular musical numbers. Juniors actors enhance their reading skills as they memorize and recite their lines while bringing their characters to life. Skyline musicals offer a perfect balance of dramatic, comedic, and enchanting roles where every actor can shine. Actors are given scripts, music, choreography videos, and access to more helpful materials on Skyline’s exclusive Actor Resource Page. Families receive detailed instructions on how to assemble an original costume, adding the perfect finishing touch to any show. Registration Policies
ALL TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND THE DISCRETION OF THE SKYLINE TEAM. CLASS/CAMP TRANSFER FEE POLICY Each transfer between class days, locations, and/or age levels are subject to a $25 administrative fee. This fee must be paid promptly in order to hold a place in the class. CLASS CANCELLATION FEE POLICY All weekly class cancellations are subject to a $25 administrative fee. No refunds can be provided after an actor attends the first day of class. CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY All summer camp cancellations are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds can be provided after an actor attends the first day of camp. CLASS DISCOUNTS No discounts are offered for classes at this time.
