Show: The Mini (Little) Mermaid Broadway Juniors Ages: 5-7 *Monday-Wednesday: 9:00-3:00 p.m.* *Three Day Session: 7/1-7/3* *Performance: Wednesday Afternoon 7/3* Venue: Greenhouse Theater Center, Lincoln Park Address: 2257 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 *Please note this will be a short and sweet session and the final show will be Wednesday 7/3. We still have plenty of fun discovering the magic of theater while putting on a Mini Version of the Little Mermaid in just three days. We hope our campers will enjoy a long holiday weekend!* From an exciting first day of getting to know a show to an exhilarating final performance, Mini (Little) Mermaid Broadway Summer Camp offers enchanting character opportunities where every actor can shine. All actors are assigned a named individual role in the show and together create a full musical ensemble for spectacular musical numbers such as “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl” In the course of one session, Broadway Juniors will build confidence and develop performing skills by learning lines (an opportunity to enhance early reading abilities), and singing and dancing together in front of a supportive audience. Days will be packed with show rehearsals, playing acting games, doing themed crafts, making friends, and visiting the famous Oz Park for outdoor lunch and recess. Instructions on how to assemble an original costume will be provided to families in advance of the thrilling final performance, with professional lights and sound, on the final date of this camp. Every actor will feel pride in their hard work coming together and the glow of lighting up the stage as they present a dress rehearsal for other Broadway campers and then perform for friends and family.
