Wilmette Broadway Half Day Camp: Cinderella (Ages: 6-13) Two Week Session: July 13th- July 24th Monday-Friday: 9:00am-12:00pm Performance: Friday, July 24th at 11:00 AM Venue: St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Address: 1235 Wilmette Ave. Based on the classic fairytale, Cinderella is a young girl who lives in a small kingdom with her cruel stepmother and jealous stepsisters. When they forbid her from attending Prince Charming’s ball, her animal friends and Fairy Godmother help her get there. She dances with the Prince until midnight before running out and leaving one glass slipper behind. Will the Grand Duke and the Prince find the mysterious girl again? A spell-binding story, charming music and endearing characters that will enchant and live in your heart forever. Broadway Half Day Camp is a two-week in-depth musical theater experience challenging actors to put on an incredible show, specifically designed for ages 6-13. Expertly instructed by a talented Skyline Teaching Artist, actors hone their vocal, dance, and acting techniques, while working side by side with cast mates to stage a polished final performance. Broadway Half Day Camp actors will be challenged to develop their individual characters, sing solos, and maybe even incorporate gymnastics and tricks into dances. They’ll also get to learn and play improv games with their friends. Actors will be motivated throughout their camp by the anticipation and shared goal of presenting their fantastic show! Instructions on how to assemble an original costume will be provided to families in advance of the thrilling final performance on the final date of this camp. Every actor will feel the glow of lighting up the stage and pride in their hard work coming together as they perform for friends and family on the final date of their camp.
